Elderly, disabled, or low-income homeowners, as well as non-profit facilities such as schools, daycares, and shelters, are invited to apply for assistance from Cecil County Christmas in April.

The deadline to apply is Dec. 31 for projects to be accomplished in April 2013. Now in its 17th year, Christmas in April volunteers have helped more than 270 homeowners with repairs or additions to their homes, adding safety and comfort.

Last year, there were 13 such projects from Earleville to Rising Sun.
